Purchase of the car
Another purchase completed in the project is a car, VW Amarok version Double Cab Pick Up. The vehicle is designed to carry 5 people and a sizeable load, has a suspension 4x4 terrain and is equipped with a 2.0 BiTDI engine with a power of 180 hp. The purchase of a car in order to accomplish project goals was necessary because most of the work is, and will be implemented in the field.
Due to the terrain on which the vehicle moves (forest roads, dune areas, beaches), a high-performance off-road vehicle was required. In addition, the car has a sufficiently large luggage capacity - a cover needed to transport the equipment used for the project is: C-pods and their anchoring equipment, equipment for recovering lost or abandoned gear, fishing gear, underwater vehicle. Maximum load capacity is about 950 kg, and the length of the cargo area is 1.55 m. The vehicle is also used for the transport of people participating in the various project activities.
