Boat cleaning and C-POD March service

In early March, before the start of the season, we had taken the boat into the boat trailer in order to clean the hull below the waterline. After a few days we launched the boat again to be ready to work.

It had been almost three months since the last service of hydro-acoustic detectors – C-PODs, so whenever the weather allowed, we decided to go to sea and service the equipment assembled after winter.

We managed to end the work at sea in one very long working day – we spent almost whole day on the water from dawn until dusk. We replaced the batteries and memory cards. Also we saved and secured data.

We still monitor systematically the shoreline of the Park in order to find missing parts of the equipment. Porpoise detectors have an inscription on the case: „Słowiński Park Narodowy POLAND tel. + 48 59 81 17 204”. We suspect that the elements of the set could have been carried away over considerable distances from the boundaries of the Park. Here are a few photos of our sea-trip.
